Apu by Amano is a gift from the Inca gods. Apu means "The Spirit of the Mountain" in Quechua, the language of the Andean people. With a fineness of only 17 microns, it is among the softest alpaca fibers in the world, a quality guaranteed only through meticulous hand-sorting.

To obtain fine alpaca fibers, the utmost care is required even during shearing to avoid damaging the skin and to ensure the growth of the largest possible quantity of the finest fibers. Therefore, buying fine alpaca fibers contributes to ensuring animal welfare. Animals that are sheared carelessly and poorly cared for produce inferior wool!

The wool is sourced, dyed, and spun in Peru.
