 This yarn combines beautifully fine virgin wool with cruelty-free, soft Eri silk. With Eri silk, the silkworms are allowed to emerge from their cocoons before the thread is harvested. The yarn has a subtle sheen and is wonderfully soft. The silk content makes it machine washable – without any superwash treatment. Semilla Silkbloom is GOTS certified, making it perfect not only for adult nature lovers, but also for babies and toddlers.

It's the perfect multi-talented yarn for accessories as well as sweaters, jackets, and children's clothing. The color palette is a selection of the most beautiful Semilla colors, which harmonize beautifully.

What does it mean that the yarn is GOTS (Global Organic Textile Standard) certified? The GOTS seal verifies everything: from animal welfare and pollutant-free dyes to environmentally friendly production, fair wages for all involved, and adherence to strict social criteria. In our opinion, the GOTS seal is the strictest eco-label in the textile industry – significantly more comprehensive than, for example, Oeko-Tex Standard 100. The raw wool, by the way, comes from Argentina and is naturally mulesing-free. It is spun and dyed in Italy.
