Skadi Merino d'Arles GOTS 100g

The beautiful 3-ply Skadi Merino d'Arles GOTS from Hey Mama Wolf is something very special: at 21 micron, Merino d'Arles is the softest wool available in Europe. This rare sheep breed gently maintains the landscapes of southern France and the French Alps under controlled conditions. Because of the undercoat's crimp, which is unusually strong for merino sheep, yarn spun from this wool is particularly lofty, soft and airy. Our favorite GOTS spinning mill spins and dyes this wonderful organic wool in Istanbul. This way we get everything from a single source and save on transport routes. For this special wool, it was very important to us to be able to produce it with GOTS certification. The certification ensures defined standards for animal welfare and pasture management along the supply chain. Knitting with Skadi is an absolute pleasure. It is light, voluminous and soft as a cloud.
