Svala by BC Garn – light, airy, and surprisingly versatile! Originally designed as a carry-along yarn, Svala also shines on its own. Thanks to a special spinning technique, the soft alpaca fibers (21–23 microns) are spun into a fluffy yet structured thread – completely different from what you’d expect from 100% alpaca yarn! The result is a light and airy fiber that still provides stability and shape to your knitwear, all while maintaining the familiar softness of baby alpaca.

Whether used alone, held double, or as a carry-along yarn – we’ve put Svala to the test and absolutely love it! Spun and dyed in Peru, where the alpaca fibers are also sourced.
