 Erika Knight's Wool Local is finally available in a 10-ply weight. So, if you're looking to knit a lovely chunky jacket or a rustic sweater, this is absolutely the right yarn for you. And the knitting experience: the wool smells wonderful! Like sheep!! Absolutely delightful! The feel while knitting and the texture of the finished piece are so beautifully woolly and voluminous. From fleece to finished yarn in less than 50 miles: Wool Local Aran lives up to this claim, being both quintessentially British and sustainably produced. The raw wool is purchased at the Bradford wool auction and then sorted, combed, spun, steamed, and wound in Yorkshire. This wonderful blend consists of roughly equal parts luxurious Bluefaced Leicester wool and robust Masham in a sweater-friendly Aran weight. It is therefore a truly local wool, rooted in the heart of the English textile industry. That's the story behind the yarn.
