 Semilla Pura is the undyed sister of our BC Garn Semilla Melange - one of our most popular yarns.
It has the typical characteristics of a woolen yarn: Despite its voluminous nature, the yardage is considerable, making it a good value for money. The rustic look arises from the fact that, unlike worsted yarn, the individual fibers are not combed and sorted until almost all the fibers lie parallel; instead, the curls are allowed to lie somewhat crisscrossed, creating the beautiful volume. Furthermore, the raw material yield is higher for woolen yarns than for worsted yarns.
Surprisingly, the undyed version of the Semilla is even softer than the dyed version. And even more voluminous.

The raw wool for Semilla Pura comes from Argentina and is spun in Turkey according to GOTS guidelines. Every stage of the production process is inspected and certified according to GOTS criteria.
