This is where it all began at BC Garn: Semilla. Now it not only has a GOTS seal, but also a chlorine-free wash treatment! It is also softer than its predecessor. BC Garn Semilla GOTS is the perfect all-rounder: knitting sweaters, baby items or shawls – no problem at all for Semilla. The harmonious color palette combines beautifully both within itself and with other yarns from the BC family, and reflects the brand's original Nordic charm.

What does it mean that the yarn is now certified according to GOTS (Global Organic Textile Standard)? With the GOTS seal, everything is checked: from animal welfare to dyes free of harmful substances and environmentally sound production, through to fair pay for everyone involved and compliance with strict social criteria. In addition to ecological criteria, GOTS also covers social criteria along the entire supply chain, thus going beyond pure tests for harmful substances such as Öko-Tex 100. By the way, the raw wool comes from Argentina and is of course mulesing-free. It is spun and dyed in Italy.
