Reborn Wool from Kremke is a yarn with character and our contribution to the slow fashion movement: Reborn Wool is a recycled yarn with a woolly feel and a great look – a chunky wool for beginners that lets you achieve great results quickly! The yarn is responsibly produced: it is made in a family-run company in India, where textile surpluses are recycled directly on site. The source fibers don't travel halfway around the world, but are sorted, shredded and re-spun locally. It is made exclusively from post-consumer textiles, which conserves valuable resources. Reborn Wool consists of 65–75% recycled wool, blended with recycled polyester (rPET) from PET bottles. The rPET provides additional stability and an even yarn structure. The coloring is created solely by pre-sorting the recycled garments – without bleaching or dyeing. As a result, differences between dye lots may be greater than with conventionally dyed yarn. Reborn Wool from Kremke is the ideal yarn for knitting projects made from recycled material. It combines environmentally friendly production, a great look and easy handling – perfect for anyone who wants to be creative with a clear conscience! Our brand KREMKE now has a new logo. For sustainability reasons, however, we will continue to use up our stock of old labels. So some color variants of this yarn already have a new label and some still have an old one.
