Here comes the fine, single-ply version of our Loch Lomond, the quintessential English tweed yarn. It retains its wonderfully rustic look, but in the lace version, it's even softer than its larger counterpart. The unparalleled airiness of worsted yarn truly shines through here!

Woolen yarns are beautifully voluminous and have a great yardage. This makes knitted items wonderfully lightweight. Woolen yarns are not quite as tear-resistant as worsted yarns, so you shouldn't knit too tightly to prevent the yarn from breaking.

Either used alone for accessories or combined with, for example, baby alpaca or kid mohai yarn, it's wonderful for mixed-material garments. And the best part: the yarn is GOTS certified! This means that everything from the sheep to the dyeing and production, right through to storage and packaging, is produced according to strict ecological and social standards.

The raw wool for Loch Lomond comes from mulesing-free farms in South America. Spinning and dyeing take place in Turkey.
