Soft, softer, llama wool! Kremke Soul Wool's thick wool is made from 100% llama wool and is incredibly soft. It's also remarkably resistant to pilling: the curly, short fibers that cause pilling are removed before spinning. Our Llama Soft is also known as the "Cashmere of the Andes" because, at 22 microns, it's truly comparable in softness to cashmere. A wonderfully soft wool for scarves, hats, or sweaters! And it's also incredibly warm!

According to a study by the Owari Textile Technology Center in Japan, which compared alpaca wool with llama wool, the inner diameter of llama fiber is larger than that of alpaca fiber, resulting in even greater thermal insulation. It doesn't get warmer than Llama Soft!

Llamas, like alpacas, belong to the camelid family, but are less common. They live in the wild in the Andes and are only herded together for shearing. The shearing is done gently and without injuring the animals.
