 Here is the fine version of British Blue, the quintessential British virgin wool from Bluefaced Leicester sheep. These sheep produce a wonderfully long-staple (the expert term for long fibers), fine, slightly lustrous wool. The sheen comes from the fact that the hairs are not very crimped, but rather lie parallel to one another, so that light is gently reflected. The yarn has a natural softness, and the long fibers ensure that pilling is virtually nonexistent.
The raw wool for our British Blue comes naturally from Great Britain, while it is spun and dyed in our favorite spinning mill in Turkey.
