 The Merry Sweater is worked from the bottom up and, after the split ribbing is complete, is knitted in the round, starting with the beautifully textured hem sections. The design is by Stella Ackroyd. (Instagram: @stella.ackroyd )

• Extra width: 10-13 cm

• Needles:
4 mm circular knitting needles
3.5 mm circular knitting needles
or needle size with which you achieve the gauge swatch.

• Gauge swatch:
22 sts x 30 rows = 10 cm x 10 cm with 4.0 mm needles in stockinette stitch.

• Yarn:
Kremke Soul Wool – The Merry Merino 110 (50 g = 110 m)

The body is split at the armhole (this allows the project to be easily lengthened or shortened for individual adjustment) and then joined at the shoulders using the 3-needle bind-off method. The sleeves are worked in the round from the bottom up, beginning with a striking textured detail and then continuing in reassuring stockinette stitch. The textured neckband is also worked in the round, meaning this project is seamless and stress-free, and can simply be cast off and worn.
