The back and front pieces are knitted in rows until the armholes are formed. The shoulders are shaped using short rows. The pieces are then joined, and the body is knitted in the round. Stitches for the sleeves are picked up around the armholes and worked in the round in a 3x3 rib pattern and part of the main pattern. Finally, stitches are picked up for the neckline, and the ribbing is knitted on.
